About this course

Hello everyone, my name is Michael and my Skillshare class will be on 'How to create English Subtitles (Closed Captioning) for your videos'.

In this class I am going to be teaching the simple steps to creating English Subtitles (Closed Captioning) for your videos, I will be showing you which free software you need to download to speed up the whole process, and how to use the software to create a .srt file which is the most commonly used and accepted file format to upload with your videos.

By the end of the class you will be able to create your own English Subtitles (Closed Captioning) to accompany your videos in less than 10 minutes, all for free...no more paying someone else to do this stuff for you!

To make the class more visually fun, I have created a little character of myself which I will animate to do all the talking, he will walk you through each step of the process, so you can rest assured, you are in good hands.

The class project will be for you to take what you have learned, and create closed captions for one of your own videos and upload that online so you can share a link in the class project area - that way, you get to practice all the steps and see the end product, and as a bonus you will then get more views on your video from the kind people here at skillshare including myself.
